Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Salbutamol sulfate 1.2 mg, equivalent to Salbutamol 1 mg
Bromhexine hydrochloride 2 mg
Guaiphenazine 50 mg
Excipients: 70% sorbitol solution, glycerol, propylene glycol, sucrose, sodium benzoate, menthol.
Properties:
The preparation contains three active ingredients designed to clear the airways and increase the vital capacity of the lungs.
Salbutamol:
Sympathomimetic and bronchodilator, is a stimulator of β2-adrenoreceptors. In therapeutic doses, it acts on β2-adrenoreceptors of the smooth muscles of the bronchi, exerting a pronounced bronchodilatory effect, preventing and stopping bronchospasm.
Bromhexine:
Mucolytic agent with expectorant action.
Guaiphenazine:
Expectorant. Reduces surface tension and adhesive properties of sputum, which reduces its viscosity and facilitates evacuation from the respiratory tract.
Indications:
Symptomatic treatment of productive cough associated with conditions such as: acute bronchitis, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, asthmatic bronchitis.
Method of administration and dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoons 3 times daily.
Children 6 to 12 years: 1 teaspoon 3 times daily.
Children 2 to 5 years: half a teaspoon 3 times a day.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Precautions:
Not prescribed to children under 2 years of age.
For children from 2 to 6 years old, it is prescribed only under strict medical supervision.
It is prescribed with caution in cases of cardiovascular diseases and thyrotoxicosis.
Side effects:
Tremor, headache, hypokalemia, tachycardia, arrhythmia.
Storage method:
