Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Water extract of guava leaves and flowers (4:1) 0.125 g
(Standardized to contain 0.1% flavones)
Linden flower extract (8:1) 0.015 g
(Standardized to contain 5% flavones).
Properties:
Guava contains 5 times more vitamin C than oranges. It has anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties.
Linden flowers have antimicrobial and antiseptic properties.
Indications:
Dietary supplement for relief of cough symptoms.
Method of administration and dosage:
Adults: 1-2 teaspoons 3-4 times daily.
Children (over 4 years): 1/2 – 1 teaspoon 3-4 times a day.
Contraindications:
Children under 4 years of age.
Age over 65 years.
Pregnancy and lactation.
Liver or kidney disease.
Patients taking metronidazole or disulfuram, cephalosporins.
Precautions:
– High doses may cause diarrhea due to the presence of sorbitol in the composition.
– Do not use if you have uncontrolled diabetes.
– Keep out of reach of children.
Side effects:
Allergic reactions, diarrhea, abdominal pain.
