Diclofenac epolamine – 65 mg (which corresponds to the content of pure diclofenac – 50 mg).
Properties:
Diclofenac belongs to non-steroidal drugs with pronounced antirheumatic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties.
Indications:
Rheumatic inflammatory and degenerative diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, arthrosis, non-articular rheumatism, inflammatory pain of non-rheumatic origin or due to trauma. Treatment of menstrual pain.
Method of administration and dosage:
For oral administration, capsules should be taken whole, with liquid, during or after meals.
Initial daily dose: 100-150 mg, divided into 2-3 doses. For less severe cases, as well as for long-term treatment, 50-100 mg per day is usually sufficient. For menstrual pain, the daily dose is 50-150 mg. Initial dose 50-100 mg, if necessary, increase it for severe menstrual pain, up to a maximum of 150 mg per day. Treatment should be started at the onset of symptoms and continued for several days, depending on the symptoms.
Contraindications:
Children under 14 years of age; hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, aspirin; severe cardiac, hepatic, renal failure, severe arterial hypotension; gastric bleeding; pregnancy, lactation.
Precautions:
In case of liver diseases, the drug should be discontinued. Patients with heart and vascular disorders should be under the supervision of a physician during therapy. Weak and elderly patients, patients with low body weight should use minimal therapeutically effective doses. Before prescribing the drug, it is necessary to undergo a clinical examination of patients with peptic ulcers; with a history of intestinal bleeding; with liver and kidney damage, including in the history; with high blood pressure. In asthma, hay fever, acute and chronic respiratory pathologies, in patients with nasal polyps, taking the drug can cause asthmatic attacks. Treatment of these conditions is symptomatic.
Side effects:
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, abdominal pain; allergic reactions such as skin redness, itching, swelling; headache, agitation, irritability, insomnia, asthenia, dizziness, convulsions, sensory or visual disturbances, tinnitus. Sometimes, during long-term treatment, renal failure, jaundice, hair loss may occur.
