Description

Artixiban

Active Ingredient: Apixaban

Description:
Artixiban is an oral anticoagulant used to reduce the risk of blood clots by inhibiting Factor Xa, a key enzyme in the coagulation process. It is commonly prescribed to prevent stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, as well as for the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).

Indications:
• Prevention of stroke and embolism in patients with atrial fibrillation
• Treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE)
• Prevention of recurrent DVT and PE

Dosage Form: Tablets (strengths may vary)

How it Works:
Artixiban selectively inhibits Factor Xa, reducing thrombin generation and clot formation without directly affecting platelets.

Important Notes:
• Take exactly as prescribed by a healthcare professional
• Do not stop treatment suddenly without medical advice
• Inform your doctor of any other medications, supplements, or medical conditions before use

Side Effects:
Possible side effects may include bleeding, anemia, nausea, and allergic reactions. Seek immediate medical attention if severe bleeding occurs.
