Compound:

Each 5 ml of syrup contains:

Levodropropizine 30 mg.

Auxiliary components:

Glycerin, sorbitol, sodium methylparaben, citric acid, sucrose, cherry flavor.

Properties:

Antitussive. Antitussive activity is due to the peripheral action on the tracheobronchial tree. The mechanism of antitussive action of levodropropizine is to slow down the transmission of nerve impulses within C-fibers, suppressing the release of neuropeptide sensors from C-fibers in vitro.

Indications:

Symptomatic treatment of dry, unproductive cough (including pharyngitis, laryngitis, acute tracheitis and tracheobronchitis, flu, bronchopneumonia, chronic obstructive bronchitis, bronchial asthma, pulmonary emphysema, allergic and infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract).

Method of administration and dosage:

Frequency of administration: up to 3 times a day with intervals of at least 6 hours. Duration of treatment should not exceed 7 days.

Children weighing 10 to 20 kg: 3 ml 3 times a day.

Children weighing 20-30 kg: 5 ml 3 times a day.

Children weighing over 30 kg and adults: 10 ml 3 times a day.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to levodropropizine; diseases associated with bronchial hypersecretion; decreased mucociliary function (Kartagener syndrome, ciliary dyskinesia); pregnancy, breastfeeding; children under 2 years of age.

Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with severe liver and kidney dysfunction.

Side effects:

From the immune system: allergic and anaphylactic reactions, eyelid edema, angioedema.

From the psyche: irritability, lethargy, personality changes or personality disorders.

From the nervous system: fainting, gait instability, vertigo, tremor, paresthesia, tonic-clonic seizures and minor epileptic seizures.

From the organ of vision: mydriasis, bilateral blindness.

From the cardiovascular system: sensation of palpitations, tachycardia, atrial bigeminy, arterial hypotension.

From the respiratory system: shortness of breath, cough, swelling of the respiratory tract.

From the digestive system: stomach pain, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, glossitis, aphthous stomatitis.

From the liver and biliary tract: cholestatic hepatitis.

From the side of metabolism: hypoglycemic coma.

From the skin and subcutaneous tissues: urticaria, erythema, exanthema, itching, skin reactions, epidermolysis.

From the musculoskeletal system: weakness in the lower limbs;

General reactions: general malaise, generalized edema, asthenia.

Storage method:

At a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
