Description
Trade name:
Temporal oral suspension, 250 mg/5ml 60 ml
Compound:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Paracetamol 250 mg
Properties:
Analgesic-antipyretic. Has antipyretic and analgesic effects. Blocks COX-1 and COX-2 mainly in the central nervous system, affecting the pain and thermoregulation centers. In inflamed tissues, cellular peroxidases neutralize the effect of paracetamol on COX, which explains the almost complete absence of an anti-inflammatory effect. Since paracetamol has an extremely small effect on the synthesis of prostaglandins in peripheral tissues, it does not change water-electrolyte metabolism and does not cause damage to the gastrointestinal mucosa.
