Composition:
Each chewable tablet contains:

Sodium Montelukast 5 mg.

Excipients: mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, iron oxide red, sodium croscarmellose, cherry flavor, aspartame, magnesium stearate.

Properties:
Montelukast is a highly active drug that significantly improves inflammation in bronchial asthma. Blocks the development of bronchospasm, reduces the number of eosinophils in the respiratory tract and in the peripheral blood. Does not contain steroids.

Indications:
Prevention and long-term treatment of bronchial asthma in children from 6 to 14 years: to control daytime and nighttime symptoms of the disease; relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis in children from 6 to 14 years. Treatment of allergic rhinitis in patients with bronchial asthma.

Method of administration and dosage:
Children aged 6 to 14 years: 1 chewable tablet of 5 mg once a day, in the evening. The drug should be taken 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals. The therapeutic effect develops within 1 day. The drug should be continued even if asthma is controlled, as well as during periods of worsening asthma.

Contraindications:
Children under 6 years of age; hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; phenylketonuria; pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions:
It is not recommended to prescribe for the treatment of acute attacks of bronchial asthma. Patients should be instructed to always have emergency medications for the relief of asthma attacks (short-acting inhaled beta2-agonists). For elderly patients, patients with renal failure, as well as patients with mild or moderate liver dysfunction, and depending on gender, no special dose adjustment is required.

Side effects:
The drug is well tolerated. The following may occur: dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue; increased tendency to bleeding; diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, pancreatitis; hepatitis; hypersensitivity reaction, itching, rash, urticaria; anxiety, depression, attention deficit, memory impairment, insomnia; increased heart rate; nosebleeds; arthralgia, myalgia, muscle cramps; edema.

Storage method:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
Keep out of reach of children.
