Compound:

Each 5 ml of syrup contains:

Paracetamol 120 mg.

Excipients:

Sucrose, methylparaben, propylparaben, propylene glycol, sorbitol, saccharin, strawberry flavor, crimson dye.

Properties:

Paramol syrup has analgesic, antipyretic and weak anti-inflammatory action. The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and influence on the thermoregulation center in the hypothalamus.

Indications:

Post-vaccination reaction in children 2-3 months old.

Symptomatic treatment of colds accompanied by fever. Paramol is also intended for the treatment of moderate to severe pain syndromes, including headaches, toothaches, sore throats and muscle pain.

Method of administration and dosage:

Post-vaccination fever in children 2-3 months old – 2.5 ml, if necessary, 2.5 ml can be repeated after 4-6 hours.

Children 3-6 months: 2.5 ml 4 times a day

Children 6-24 months: 5 ml 4 times a day

2-4 years: 7.5 ml 4 times a day

4-6 years: 10 ml 4 times a day.

Contraindications:

Severe liver dysfunction or decompensated liver disease in the active stage;

severe renal impairment;

blood diseases;

glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase enzyme deficiency;

early infancy (up to 2 months);

hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Precautions:

Not prescribed to children under 2 months; it is not recommended to prescribe more than 2 doses per day for children 2-3 months; it is necessary to observe a 4-hour interval between doses of the drug; if the need for the drug persists for more than 3 days, it is necessary to consult a pediatrician.

Side effects:

Thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, neutropenia, leukopenia, pancytopenia.

Urticaria, Quincke’s edema

Nephropathy.
