1 ml of solution contains:
Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.25 mg.
Properties:
Indications:
Difficulty in nasal breathing due to colds, inflammation of the nasal sinuses, eustachitis, hay fever, allergic rhinitis.
Method of administration and dosage:
For adults and children over 2 years of age, the drug is used intranasally, 2-3 drops in each nasal passage twice a day, morning and evening.
Contraindications:
– Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.
– Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nasal passages without secretion.
– Chronic heart failure.
– Hyperthyroidism.
– Diabetes mellitus.
– Pregnancy and lactation period.
– Children under 2 years of age.
– Atrophic rhinitis.
– Arrhythmia.
– Severe atherosclerosis.
– Arterial hypertension.
– Chronic renal failure.
– Closed-angle glaucoma.
Precautions:
In the recommended dosage, it can be used for no more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
Side effects:
The drug is usually well tolerated, but the following side effects may occasionally occur.
– Transient dryness and burning of the nasal mucosa, dry mouth and throat, sneezing are possible; with prolonged use, reactive hyperemia of the mucosa and atrophy of the mucosa may occur.
– Palpitations; rarely – arterial hypertension.
– Increased excitability, dizziness, headache, sleep disturbances; with prolonged use – tachyphylaxis.
– Nausea.
Storage method:
Keep out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees.
