Acemetacin 60 mg.

Auxiliary components:

Sodium lauryl sulfate, povidone, starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, gelatin.

Properties:

NSAID. By blocking the enzyme cyclooxygenase, it disrupts the synthesis of prostaglandins and ATP production. It has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic effects, inhibits platelet aggregation.

The analyzing effect is due to both central and peripheral action.

Affects the thermoregulation center, reduces temperature in febrile conditions.

Indications:

Chronic rheumatoid arthritis, chronic psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gouty arthritis, myositis, tendovaginitis,

Tenosynovitis, bursitis, lumbago, sciatica, postoperative inflammation, soft tissue injury, superficial vein thrombophlebitis.

Method of administration and dosage:

The recommended initial dose is 120 mg per day, divided into several doses. The dose is gradually increased to 180 mg per day.

It is recommended to take the drug with food or milk, and it can also be administered together with antacid drugs to reduce possible side effects from the gastrointestinal tract.

Contraindications:

Erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract (in the acute phase), gastrointestinal bleeding, “aspirin” asthma, hemophilia, hemorrhagic diathesis, hypoprothrombinemia, portal hypertension, vitamin K deficiency, renal failure, I and III trimesters of pregnancy, lactation period, hypersensitivity to acemetacin.

Precautions:

It should be used with caution in patients with gout, liver disease, and in children under 12 years of age with hyperthermia due to viral diseases (risk of developing Reye’s syndrome).

Patients should not consume alcohol during treatment.

Acemetacin may negatively affect the speed of concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, drowsiness, swelling, tinnitus, allergic reactions, photodermatitis.
