Each 100 ml of syrup contains:
Oxomemazine 0.033 g
Guaiphenazine 0.666 g
Sodium benzoate 0.666 g
Auxiliary components:
Glycerol, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, caramel flavor, sucrose and purified water.
Properties:
It is a combination of substances that contains an antihistamine, antitussive and sedative (oxomemazine), two expectorants (guaifenesin and sodium benzoate).
Indications:
The syrup is intended for the treatment of dry and wet cough, including those caused by allergies.
Method of administration and dosage:
The course of treatment should not exceed several days.
Adults:
1-2 teaspoons of syrup 2 or 3 times a day, for elderly people, treatment should be started with the lowest dose.
Children over 30 months: 3-5 teaspoons of syrup per day in 2 or 3 doses.
Contraindications:
This medicine should not be used in cases of respiratory or liver failure.
Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Children up to 30 months of age.
Pregnancy and lactation.
Diabetes mellitus (contains sucrose).
Precautions:
Do not use this medicine in children under 6 years of age without consulting a doctor.
Cough is a symptom that can indicate many diseases: consult a doctor if it persists for more than a few days.
Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages while taking this medicine as it may increase the risk of drowsiness.
The drug may cause drowsiness or decreased concentration, so it is not recommended when driving or operating other machinery.
Side effects:
Drowsiness, indigestion, thickening of bronchial secretions, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, urinary retention, confusion in the elderly and, less commonly, agitation in children.
