It is part of many enzyme systems that regulate the main metabolic processes, and in particular, it is involved in protein synthesis and carbohydrate metabolism.

Indications:

Diseases associated with zinc deficiency in the body, as well as as part of complex therapy for diseases and conditions leading to the development of zinc deficiency:

-enteropathic acrodermatitis (Acrodermatitis enteropathica);

-hypogonadism;

Chronic high dose zinc intake may result in secondary copper deficiency. Symptoms include hypocuprimia, impaired iron mobilization, anemia, leukopenia, neutropenia, decreased superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, particularly erythrocyte superoxide dismutase (ESOD), decreased ceruloplasmin levels, decreased cytochrome C oxidase activity, increased plasma cholesterol levels, increased low-density lipoprotein cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio, decreased glucose clearance, decreased methionine and leucine enkephalin levels, impaired cardiac function, and impaired pancreatic enzyme activity, amylase, and lipase.

Side effects:

From the digestive system:

– dyspepsia, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, loss of appetite are possible, especially when taking the drug in high doses;

rarely – metallic taste in the mouth.

From the hematopoietic system:

Others:

-decrease in the concentration of copper in blood plasma;

rarely – headache.

From the immune system:

– allergic reactions to the components of the drug, such as itching and skin rashes.
