(Moist Exposed Burn Ointment)
Composition & Presentation
• Active ingredient: β-Sitosterol 0.25 % w/w.
• Base: sesame oil, beeswax, plus naturally occurring amino-acids, fatty-acids, complex polysaccharides and vitamin E.  
• Pack sizes: 15 g, 30 g and 75 g aluminum tubes.

Indications (Topical)
• First-, second- and third-degree thermal, chemical or electrical burns.
• Acute and chronic wounds (cuts, abrasions, donor sites, pressure- or diabetic-ulcers).
• Sunburn, nipple fissures, dermatitis and minor skin cracks.

Mechanism of Action
MEBO’s oil-based matrix seals the wound, retains physiological moisture, absorbs residual heat and:
1. Accelerates epithelial regeneration and in-situ stem-cell activity.
2. Produces an anti-inflammatory effect, reducing edema and erythema.
3. Provides a barrier that is unfavourable to bacterial & fungal colonisation.
4. Isolates exposed nerve endings, helping to relieve pain.
