Montelukast sodium 10 mg.
Auxiliary components: mannitol, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, aspartame, menthol, PVP K30, carmosine, FD&C green.
Properties:
Montelukast is a highly active drug that significantly improves inflammation in bronchial asthma. Blocks the development of bronchospasm, reduces the number of eosinophils in the respiratory tract and in the peripheral blood. Does not contain steroids.
Indications:
For the prevention and treatment of bronchial asthma, including the prevention of daytime and nighttime symptoms, the treatment of aspirin-dependent asthmatic patients and the prevention of bronchospasm during exercise.
To relieve daytime and nighttime symptoms of allergic rhinitis in patients with bronchial asthma.
Directions for use and dosage:
Orally, 1 time/day, regardless of meals. For the treatment of bronchial asthma, the drug should be taken in the evening. When treating allergic rhinitis, it can be taken at any time of the day. Patients with bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis should take the drug in the evening. You should continue to take the drug both during the period of achieving control over the symptoms of bronchial asthma, and during periods of exacerbation of bronchial asthma. Do not use this medicine if you need immediate help for a sudden asthma attack. The drug can be added to the patient’s treatment with bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroids.
Contraindications:
Childhood; hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; pregnancy and lactation.
Precautionary measures:
It is not recommended to prescribe for the treatment of acute attacks of bronchial asthma. Patients should be instructed to always carry emergency medications to relieve asthma attacks (short-acting inhaled beta2-agonists). For elderly patients, patients with renal failure, as well as patients with mild or moderate liver dysfunction, or depending on gender, no special dose adjustment is required.
Side effects:
The drug is well tolerated. May occur: dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue; increased tendency to bleed; diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, pancreatitis; hepatitis; hypersensitivity reaction, itching, rash, urticaria; anxiety, depression, attention impairment, memory impairment, insomnia; cardiopalmus; nosebleeds; arthralgia, myalgia, muscle cramps; swelling.
Storage method:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees in a dry place out of reach of children.
