Description
Trade name:
Enterogermina 4 billion
Compound:
Each 5 ml of suspension contains:
Spores of Bacillus clausii, multi-resistant to various chemotherapeutic drugs and antibiotics – 4 billion spores
Excipient: purified water.
Properties:
Enterogermina is a preparation consisting of spores of Bacillus clausii, a common inhabitant of the intestines that does not have a pathogenic effect.
When taken orally, Bacillus clausii spores, due to their high resistance to chemical and physical substances, pass through the gastric juice barrier and reach the intestinal tract intact, where they are transformed into metabolically active vegetative cells. Bacillus clausii is capable of producing various vitamins, in particular, B vitamins, as a result of which the drug can be used for vitamin deficiencies due to antibiotic therapy or chemotherapy. Due to the action of Bacillus clausii, the use of Enterogermina helps restore intestinal microflora altered as a result of disruption of microbial flora of various origins.
Enterogermina allows to achieve non-specific antigenic and antitoxic effect, related to metabolic action of B.Clausii. In addition, Bacillus clausii has a high degree of heterogeneous resistance to antibiotics (induced artificially), which provides a therapeutic basis for preventing changes in intestinal microflora after exposure to antibiotics, especially broad-spectrum antibiotics, or for restoring the balance of intestinal microflora.
Indications:
Treatment and prevention of intestinal microflora disorders and subsequent endogenous (secondary) vitamin deficiency (due to impaired absorption and assimilation of vitamins in the intestine).
Adjuvant therapy to restore intestinal microflora altered by antibiotic treatment or chemotherapy.
Acute or chronic gastrointestinal disorders (including infectious ones caused by bacteria or viruses) in children, including infancy, caused by intestinal dysbacteriosis and vitamin deficiency.
Method of administration and dosage:
Adults: 1 bottle per day.
For children, including infants from 4 weeks of age: 1 bottle per day.
The contents of the bottle are taken without dilution or diluted in water or other drinks (for example: milk, tea, orange juice). The duration of treatment is determined individually by the doctor. The following duration of treatment is recommended depending on the indication for use:
– treatment of disturbed intestinal microflora and subsequent endogenous (secondary) vitamin deficiency (due to impaired absorption and assimilation of vitamins in the intestine): for acute diarrhea 5-7 days, for chronic diarrhea up to 30 days;
– prevention of intestinal microflora disorders and subsequent endogenous vitamin deficiency during antibacterial therapy: during antibiotic treatment and up to 1 week after the end of antibiotic treatment.
– adjuvant treatment to restore intestinal microflora that has changed during antibiotic treatment or chemotherapy: during antibiotic treatment and up to 1 week after the end of antibiotic treatment;
– treatment of acute gastrointestinal disorders (including infectious) in adults and children, including infancy, associated with poisoning or disruption of the intestinal microflora and vitamin deficiency: acute diarrhea 5-7 days;
– treatment of chronic gastrointestinal disorders (including infectious) in adults and children, including infancy, associated with poisoning or disruption of the intestinal microflora and vitamin deficiency: chronic diarrhea up to 30 days.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or components of the drug.
Children up to 4 weeks of age.
Precautions:
There may be visible inclusions in the vials of Enterozhermina, which is caused by aggregates of Bacillus clausii spores, this does not mean that the drug has undergone changes.
It is necessary to shake the bottle before use.
