Compound:
Each 2 ml of solution contains:
Cholecalciferol (Vit D3) 5 mg, equivalent to 200,000 IU.
Auxiliary components:
Polysorbate 80, propylene glycol.
Properties:
A remedy that replenishes vitamin D3 deficiency. Participates in the regulation of calcium-phosphorus metabolism, enhances the absorption of calcium and phosphates in the intestine (due to increased permeability of cellular and mitochondrial membranes of the intestinal epithelium) and their reabsorption in the renal tubules; promotes bone mineralization, formation of the skeletal system and teeth in children, enhances the ossification process, is necessary for the normal functioning of the parathyroid glands.
Indications:
– prevention and treatment of rickets;
– prevention of vitamin D3 deficiency in high-risk groups (malabsorption, chronic diseases of the small intestine, biliary cirrhosis of the liver, conditions after resection of the stomach and/or small intestine);
– supportive therapy for osteoporosis (of various origins);
– treatment of osteomalacia (against the background of mineral metabolism disorders in patients over 45 years of age, – long-term immobilization in case of injuries, adherence to a diet with abstinence from milk and dairy products);
– treatment of hypoparathyroidism and pseudohypoparathyroidism.
Method of administration and dosage:
The drug can be administered intramuscularly and orally.
Children under 2 years of age receiving milk fortified with Vit D – 100,000 IU every 6 months.
Children under 2 years of age who are breastfed and children under 5 years of age who receive milk without added Vit D – 200,000 IU every 6 months.
Pregnant women, if the last trimester of pregnancy falls in winter and early spring or in case of insufficient insolation – 100,000 IU during the 6th and 7th months of pregnancy, it is possible to repeat once after 1 month.
Elderly patients – 100,000 IU every 3 months
Children and adults with malabsorption – 100,000-200,000 IU every 3 months
Children and adults receiving anticonvulsants – 100,000-200,000 IU every 3 months
Treatment of Vit D deficiency (rickets, osteomalacia, neonatal hypocalcemia) – 200,000 IU, repeated every 1-6 months.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Hypercalcemia, hypercalcemia, presence of calcium stones.
Precautions:
It is necessary to take into account all drugs containing Vit D to avoid overdose.
It is necessary to regularly monitor the calcium content in the blood and urine.
When taking high doses of calcium, it is necessary to monitor its content in urine.
Side effects:
Allergic reactions, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, decreased appetite, polyuria, constipation, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, increased blood pressure, arrhythmia, impaired renal function, exacerbation of tuberculosis in the lungs.
