Hexamine 10 g
Hellin 35 mg
Piperazine hexahydrate 3 g
Effervescent base up to 100 g
Properties:
Hellin, with its direct muscle relaxant effect on smooth muscles, relieves colic, which usually accompanies diseases of the urinary tract.
Piperazine in coli-urinal increases the excretion of uric acid and promotes the dissolution of urate crystals.
Coli-Jurinal is easily absorbed from the GIT and is quickly excreted in the urine.
Indications:
Urinary tract infections: pyelitis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, etc.
Method of administration and dosage:
It is better to take Coli-Yurinal after meals, 1 tablespoon dissolved in 1/2 glass of water, 3 times a day.
Contraindications:
Impaired liver function due to the release of ammonia from hexamine in the gastrointestinal tract.
Severe or moderate renal failure, severe dehydration, metabolic acidosis, neurological impairment, epilepsy.
Precautions:
Sulfathiazole forms insoluble urinary tract crystals with formaldehyde, so avoid this combination with hexamine in preparations.
Side effects:
Uncommon: mild nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
