Composition:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Cetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg.
Excipients: glycerin, 70% sorbitol, propylene glycol, methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium saccharin, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium chloride, flavoring.
Properties:
Cetirizine dihydrochloride is a histamine antagonist, a metabolite of hydroxyzine, blocks H1-histamine receptors. Prevents the development and alleviates the course of allergic reactions, has antipruritic and antiexudative effects. Reduces capillary permeability, prevents the development of tissue edema, relieves smooth muscle spasm. In therapeutic doses, it practically does not cause a sedative effect.
Indications:
To relieve nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis. For the treatment of symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Method of administration and dosage:
Children aged 2 to 6 years: 2.5 ml of syrup 2 times a day (half a teaspoon 2 times a day). Children aged 6 to 12 years: 5 ml of syrup (a full teaspoon 2 times a day). Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 10 ml of syrup (2 teaspoons).
Contraindications:
Children under 2 years; hypersensitivity to the active substance, any of the other components in the composition, to hydroxyzine or any piperazine derivatives. Patients with severe renal insufficiency. Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption. Pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions:
The syrup contains sodium saccharin, so it should not be used in patients with liver disease. Caution should be exercised in patients with predisposing factors for urinary retention (e.g. spinal cord injury, prostatic hyperplasia), as cetirizine may increase the risk of urinary retention. Caution is recommended in patients with epilepsy and in patients at risk of seizures.
Side effects:
Minor effects on the central nervous system – drowsiness, dizziness, headache, fatigue; difficulty urinating, dry mouth, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, increased appetite.
Storage method:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees, out of the reach of children.

A cardboard box contains a brown plastic bottle with a volume of 120 ml of syrup, paper instructions.
