Properties:
Cetal is an effective and fast-acting analgesic and antipyretic. The drug contains paracetamol, which blocks cyclooxygenase (COX)-1 and COX-2 primarily in the central nervous system, affecting the pain and thermoregulation centers.
Indications:
Cetal drops for oral administration are used to relieve moderate and severe pain and reduce elevated body temperature.
Method of administration and dosage:
Cetal drops for oral administration are indicated for children aged 3 to 12 months, the recommended dose is 60-120 mg (0.6-1.2 ml) every 4-6 hours if necessary, but not more than 4 times a day.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to paracetamol.
The drug contains saccharin, which is contraindicated in case of liver dysfunction.
Precautions:
The drug is prescribed with caution to patients with severe liver and kidney dysfunction.
The drug contains sorbitol, which may have a laxative effect.
Do not exceed recommended doses, do not use with other paracetamol-containing drugs. If symptoms worsen, consult a doctor.
Side effects:
Paracetamol – in recommended doses is usually well tolerated, however, in some cases allergic reactions are possible, including urticaria. Changes in the general blood test – thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, pancytopenia, leukopenia and agranulocytosis.
Storage method:
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 degrees.
