Properties:
Indications:
Treatment and prevention of stomach and intestinal ulcers. Conditions in which the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions in which acid flows from the esophagus into the stomach, causing heartburn.
Method of administration and dosage:
For heartburn, dyspepsia and gastrointestinal disorders – 1 tablet as needed, when symptoms occur or 30-60 minutes before meals; no more than 2 tablets per day. If symptoms persist for 5 days or if symptoms recur within 2 weeks after the end of the course, a clinical trial is required.
Duodenal ulcer: Initial therapy: The recommended dose is 2 tablets (40 mg) per day at night. Treatment should last 4-8 weeks, but the duration may be shortened if the ulcer has healed. Maintenance therapy: To prevent recurrence of duodenal ulcer, it is recommended to carry out treatment with 1 tablet (20 mg) per day at night. Duration – 12 months.
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: should be started with a dose of 20 mg at 6 o’clock. The dosage should be adapted to the individual patient and should have the same number of indications.
GERD; erosions or ulcerations of the esophagus; prevention of relapses, erosions or ulcerations: the recommended dose is 20 mg twice a day.
In patients with moderate and renal insufficiency, the dose can be reduced to half or the dosing interval can be increased to 36-48 hours.
