Compound:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Terbutaline sulfate 1.5 mg
Auxiliary components:
Sorbitol 70%, lactose monohydrate, glycerin, citric acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium benzoate, raspberry essence, purified water.
Properties:
Beta-adrenergic agonist. Stimulates predominantly β2-adrenergic receptors of the bronchi, myometrium and to a much lesser extent – β1-adrenergic receptors of the myocardium. Has a bronchodilating effect, increases mucociliary clearance, reduces swelling of the bronchial mucosa.
Indications:
Treatment of bronchospasm.
Method of administration and dosage:
For adults, the starting dose is 2 teaspoons (5 ml) 3 times daily. The dose can be increased to 3 teaspoons 3 times daily.
Children:
0.075 mg (0.25 ml)/kg body weight 3 times a day.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Precautions:
Use with caution in cases of thyrotoxicosis, arterial hypertension, heart failure, during treatment with corticosteroids, tricyclic antidepressants, and simultaneously with other adrenergic agents.
Side effects:
In case of overdose – headache, anxiety, tremor, nausea, tachycardia, arrhythmia, decreased blood pressure.
Storage method:
At a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
