Tretinoin 0.05 g

Properties:

Retinoid. Similar in structure to vitamin A, it is a natural metabolite of retinol.
When applied externally, it enhances cell proliferation in the papillary layer of the skin, reduces the adhesion of cells involved in the formation of acne vulgaris. When treating open acne, it helps to smooth the skin surface without signs of inflammation. When treating closed acne, it helps to transform it into open acne or papules, which then heal without scarring after removing the keratin plug. Prevents the formation of new pimples.

Indications:

For external use: acne vulgaris (including comedones, papules, pustules), acne confluens. Favre-Racouchot disease (nodular cystic elastosis of the skin with comedones).

Method of administration and dosage:

Apply a small layer of cream to well-cleansed and dry skin once a day at night.
The course of treatment is 6-8 weeks.

Contraindications:

Acute inflammatory (including eczematous) skin lesions, wounds, burns.

Precautions:

When applied externally, avoid contact of tretinoin with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes; in case of contact, rinse immediately with water.

During treatment, it is recommended to avoid sun exposure. If the skin is tanned, treatment can be started after the tan has faded.

During the first week of treatment, acne may worsen.

Tretinoin should not be used simultaneously with drugs that cause skin desquamation, as well as with cosmetic and hygiene products that cause dryness and irritation of the skin.

Side effects:

Possible redness, burning sensation, peeling of the skin at the site of application; in isolated cases – swelling, formation of blisters or crusts, photosensitivity.

Storage method:

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 degrees.
