Description

Trade name:

Gyno-Dactarin

Compound:

Each gram of cream contains:

Miconazole nitrate 20 mg

Auxiliary components:

Purified water, glycol stearate, liquid paraffin, benzene acid.

Properties:

Miconazole is an antifungal agent from the group of imidazole derivatives, active against most pathogenic fungi and yeasts.

The mechanism of action is associated with a change in the permeability of cell membranes due to the suppression of ergosterol biosynthesis, changes in the lipid composition of membranes, and an inhibitory effect on the activity of oxidases and peroxidases. The accumulation of ergosterol precursors and toxic peroxides leads to the death of the fungal cell.

Clinical efficacy of miconazole has been demonstrated against the following species: Dermatophytes, Candida spp., Dimorphic fungi, Aspergillus spp., Cryptococcus neoformans, Pityrosporum spp., Torulopsis glabrata.

Miconazole also has antibacterial activity against some gram-positive bacteria.

Indications:

Externally – dermatomycosis caused by fungi sensitive to the drug (including secondary infection with gram-positive microorganisms); onychomycosis.
Locally – vaginal and vulvovaginal candidiasis, superinfection caused by gram-positive microorganisms; fungal balanitis.

Method of administration and dosage:

Intravaginally.

The product is supplied in a pre-filled, single-use applicator syringe containing cream.

The recommended dose is to insert the contents of one applicator once, deep into the vagina at any time of the day (preferably in the evening).

The course of treatment is 2 times a day for 7 days.

Or once a day for 10-14 days.

Apply externally 2 times a day.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to miconazole or other imidazole derivatives, severe liver and/or kidney dysfunction, children under 12 years of age.

Precautions:

Using vaginal cream may reduce the reliability of mechanical contraception (condoms, vaginal diaphragms).

Do not interrupt treatment during the menstrual cycle.

Simultaneous treatment of the sexual partner is necessary.

The appearance of local allergic reactions or the absence of clinical improvement within 7 days requires discontinuation of treatment and further examination.

Pregnancy and lactation period

Miconazole should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus.

If it is necessary to prescribe the drug during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Side effects:
