Properties:
The mechanism of action of the drug is determined by its components. Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid hormone that suppresses the function of macrophages and leukocytes, limits the migration of leukocytes to the site of inflammation. It helps stabilize lysosomal membranes, thereby reducing the concentration of proteolytic enzymes in the site of inflammation, reduces the permeability of capillaries caused by the action of histamine. It has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antiexudative effects. Zincocaine hydrochloride is a local anesthetic and reduces the excitability of sensitive nerve endings.
Indications:
Hemorrhoids, especially those associated with inflammatory conditions.
Anal fissures, anal itching and proctitis.
Method of administration and dosage:
Insert the cream into the rectum with the applicator at night and in the morning, as well as after each bowel movement.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Precautions:
Hydrocortisone is used only after appropriate proctological examinations have been carried out and a diagnosis has been established.
Along with Sediproct, other medications are used, if necessary, to treat infections and allergic reactions.
With long-term use of the drug, it is necessary to remember the possibility, although rare, of developing systemic corticosteroid side effects.
