Metamizole sodium 500 mg

Auxiliary components:

Macrogol 4000, macrogol 8000, magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide.

Properties:

An analgesic-antipyretic. It is a derivative of pyrazolone. It has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects, the mechanism of which is associated with the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

Indications:

Pain syndrome of various origins (renal and biliary colic, neuralgia, myalgia; in case of injuries, burns, after operations; headache, toothache, menalgia). Fever in infectious and inflammatory diseases.

Method of administration and dosage:

Children 10-14 years (32-53 kg) – 1 tablet up to 4 times a day

Adults and children over 15 years of age (weight over 53 kg) – 1-2 tablets, up to 8 tablets per day.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Age less than 10 years.

Lactation.

I and III trimesters of pregnancy.

Analgesic bronchial asthma or analgesic intolerance (urticaria-angioedema type) in response to the use of salicylates, paracetamol or NSAIDs such as diclofenac, ibuprofen, indomethacin or naproxen.

Bone marrow hematopoiesis disorder.

Acute hepatic porphyria.

Precautions:

With prolonged use (more than 7 days), it is necessary to monitor the peripheral blood picture.

Use in the second trimester of pregnancy is indicated only by prescription and under the supervision of a physician.

Use with caution in cases of liver and kidney dysfunction.

All patients should be aware that pathological changes in the blood may be accompanied by the appearance of symptoms such as general malaise, infections, persistent fever, hematoma formation, bleeding, pallor while taking metamizole sodium, which requires immediate medical attention.

Side effects:

Hypotension, allergic reactions, skin rash, agranulocytosis, red urine.
