Compound:
Thiemonium methyl sulfate 10 mg.
Excipients:
Sucrose, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, glycerin, strawberry flavor, ethanol, purified water.
Properties:
Thiemonium is an antispasmodic with the following effects:
– Musculotropic.
– Anticholinergic (1/50 of the effect of atropine at the same molar concentration).
Indications:
– Symptomatic treatment of acute pain associated with functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary system.
– Treatment of spasms and pain in the urinary tract and gynecological diseases.
– Symptomatic treatment of renal colic.
Method of administration and dosage:
Adults:
1-3 tablespoons per day.
Children: 3 teaspoons daily.
Contraindications:
Urethroprostatic disorders associated with the risk of urinary retention.
Risk of developing angle-closure glaucoma.
Side effects:
Atropine-like effects may develop: dry mouth, constipation, tachycardia and confusion in elderly patients.
Storage method:
Store at temperatures not exceeding 25 degrees.
