Properties:

Bi-Alcofan is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic, antipyretic agent of central and peripheral action, associated with the suppression of the activity of cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which regulate the synthesis of prostaglandins.

Indications:

Symptomatic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, joint diseases, musculoskeletal system (tendinitis, sprains).
Pain regardless of origin: toothache, headache and primary dysmenorrhea.

Method of administration and dosage:

Orally, tablets should be swallowed during meals with a large amount of water. Adults: Rheumatoid arthritis – 150 mg daily, 1 tablet, or 2 doses of half a tablet.
Treatment of dysmenorrhea: The usual recommended dose is 25 to 50 mg, approximately 6 to 8 hours apart as needed. DO NOT EXCEED 300 mg/day.

Contraindications:

Childhood; hypersensitivity to ketoprofen, aspirin or in case of additional diseases; gastrointestinal and other hemorrhages; gastric or intestinal ulcer; severe cardiac, hepatic and renal failure; pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions:

In case of renal failure and elderly patients, the dosage is adjusted by the doctor. If the condition worsens, it approaches the need.

Side effects:

Headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, seizures and mood disorders; vertigo; tachycardia/bradycardia, hypertension, arrhythmia, heart failure; asthma attacks or bronchospasm; photosensitivity, alopecia; visual disturbances, tinnitus; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, gastrointestinal discomfort and abdominal pain, gastritis, stomatitis; colitis; hepatitis; peptic ulcer, gastric bleeding and intestinal perforation; fluid retention, edema; rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema.

Storage method:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees in a dry place, out of reach of children.
