Properties:
Arcoxia is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Indications:
Reduces pain and swelling (inflammation) in joints and muscles in people aged 16 years and over with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and gout. Short-term treatment of moderate pain following dental surgery.
Method of administration and dosage:
Take orally, regardless of food intake.
Suggested Dose: Osteoarthritis: 30 mg once daily, increased to 60 mg once daily if necessary. Rheumatoid arthritis: 60 mg once daily, increased to 90 mg once daily if necessary. Ankylosing spondylitis: 60 mg once daily, increased to 90 mg once daily if necessary. Etoricoxib should only be used during the acute pain period. Gout: 120 mg once daily, used only for acute painful periods, maximum 8 days of treatment. Postoperative pain in dental surgery: 90 mg once daily, the duration of treatment is no more than 3 days. People with liver disease: Mild cases: Do not exceed 60 mg per day. Moderate liver disease: Do not exceed 30 mg per day. Caution should be exercised in sick patients. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or other components, if you are allergic to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including aspirin. Current stomach ulcer or bleeding in the stomach or intestines, ulcerative colitis. Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Children under 16 years of age.
Precautions:
Consult your doctor if: you have a history of stomach bleeding or ulcers, dehydration, swelling due to fluid retention, heart failure or cardiovascular disease. may increase blood pressure, especially at high doses. liver or kidney disease. arriving in India. if you have diabetes, high cholesterol or if you smoke. patients over 65 years of age.
pregnancy and lactation: should not be used during pregnancy. It is not known whether etoricoxib passes into breast milk. Therefore, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding while using the drug.
Side effects:
Infectious and parasitic diseases; anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, hypersensitivity reactions; angioedema, anaphylactic reactions, decreased or insufficient appetite, weight gain, anxiety, depression, hallucinations; assessment. Dizziness, headache, insomnia, drowsiness. Blurred vision, conjunctivitis, tinnitus, dizziness. Arrhythmia, cardiac hypertension, tachycardia, chronic heart failure, angina pectoris, infarction, cerebrovascular accident, hypertensive crisis, vasculitis. Cough, dyspnea. Constipation, flatulence, gastritis, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, ulcerative stomatitis, dry mouth, gastric or duodenal ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome, pancreatitis, hepatitis, liver failure, jaundice. Facial swelling, itching, rash, urticaria, Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Muscle spasms/cramps, pain/stiffness. Proteinuria, renal failure.
Storage method:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees, out of reach of children.
