Composition:
Each 5 ml of the finished suspension contains:

Amoxicillin trihydrate, equivalent to 400 mg of amoxicillin.

Excipients:

Anhydrous citric acid, anhydrous sodium citrate tribasic, avicel 611, dimethicone, strawberry flavor, carmosine, sucrose, aerosil 200, sodium stearyl fumarate, ethyl alcohol.

Properties:
An antibiotic of the semi-synthetic penicillin group with a wide spectrum of action. It is a 4-hydroxyl analogue of ampicillin. It has a bactericidal effect. It is active against aerobic gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus spp. (except for strains producing penicillinase), Streptococcus spp.; aerobic gram-negative bacteria: Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Escherichia coli, Shigella spp., Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp.

Penicillinase-producing microorganisms are resistant to amoxicillin.

Indications:
Treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to the drug:

Acute otitis media.

Acute bacterial sinusitis.

Acute streptococcal tonsillitis and pharyngitis.

Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.

Bacterial pneumonia.

Acute cystitis.

Asymptomatic bacteriuria during pregnancy.

Acute pyelonephritis.

Typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever.

Dental abscess.

Eradication of Helicobacter pylori.

Lyme disease.

Endocarditis prevention.

Gonorrhea.

Method of administration and dosage:
To obtain 80 ml of suspension, add 45 ml of drinking water at room temperature to the powder and shake thoroughly. The prepared suspension has a shelf life of 7 days.

For newborns and infants up to 3 months, the recommended dose is 30 mg / kg / day, divided into 2 doses.

For children over 3 months:

Depending on the type and severity of the infection, the recommended dose is 25-45 mg / kg / day, divided into 2 doses or 20-40 mg / kg / day, divided into 3 doses.

The course of treatment is 5-12 days.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and amoxicillin.

A history of hypersensitivity reactions to other beta-lactam antibiotics.

Infectious mononucleosis, lymphocytic leukemia, severe gastrointestinal infections accompanied by diarrhea or vomiting, respiratory viral infections, allergic diathesis, bronchial asthma, hay fever.

Precautions:
Use with caution in patients prone to allergic reactions.

Amoxicillin in combination with metronidazole is not recommended for use in patients under 18 years of age; should not be used in liver diseases.

Side effects:
Allergic reactions: urticaria, erythema, Quincke’s edema, rhinitis, conjunctivitis; rarely – fever, joint pain, eosinophilia; in isolated cases – anaphylactic shock.

Effects associated with chemotherapeutic action: superinfections may develop (especially in patients with chronic diseases or reduced resistance of the body).

With prolonged use in high doses: dizziness, ataxia, confusion, depression, peripheral neuropathy, seizures.

Mainly when used in combination with metronidazole: nausea, vomiting, anorexia, diarrhea, constipation, epigastric pain, glossitis, stomatitis; rarely – hepatitis, pseudomembranous colitis, allergic reactions (urticaria, angioedema), interstitial nephritis, hematopoiesis disorders.

Mainly when used in combination with clavulanic acid: cholestatic jaundice, hepatitis; rarely – erythema multiforme, toxic epidermal necrolysis, exfoliative dermatitis.

Storage:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees.
