Properties:

Pharmacological studies of Pygeum have shown that the drug has an effect on prostate adenoma by preventing the appearance of the adenomatous aspect and, in particular, inhibits the formation of characteristic dilation.

Prostacur does not exhibit any androgenic or estrogenic effect, does not have a direct effect on the secondary sexual organs, nor does it interfere with the regulatory mechanism involving hormones.

Pharmacokinetic studies have shown that the drug is easily absorbed and well tolerated, and is perfectly absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract. From pharmacodynamic studies it follows that doses of 100-200 mg / day do not have any effect on blood pressure, respiration, or the functioning of the nervous system.

Indications:

* Acute and/or chronic prostatitis.

* Prostate adenoma.

* Dysuria.

* Daytime and nighttime pollakiuria.

* Inoperable prostatic hypertrophy or prostatic epithelioma.

Method of administration and dosage:

One capsule should be taken in the morning and evening before meals for a period of 20 to 45 days. The courses should be repeated every 6-8 months or even more often if urinary disorders reappear. The maximum daily dose of the drug should not exceed four capsules per day.

Contraindications:

There are no known contraindications. Although the drug is not indicated for prostate cancer, it can be prescribed in cases of unclear diagnosis between neoplasm and adenoma, as it will not aggravate the development of the disease.

Precautions:

Do not use in children or women.

Side effects:

In rare cases there were complaints of stomach disorders.
